The Sharing With Friends Development

The foundation recognises that older women are the fastest growing group of Queensland’s homeless. The co-housing strategy proposes affordable home ownership in an environment where women can share friendships and support.

DR Director Eloise Atkinson launched the foundation recently and has also involved DR in developing an initial design concept for the Sharing with Friends co-housing proposal.
‍

‘The design concept is for up to five studios, with private outdoor space, and a common house with shared spaces for cooking, dining and being together.
‍

‘There are planning, financial and legal challenges, but the foundation members have done their research and are ready to progress their ideas.’
