Retirement Living – A Solution For Older Women At Risk Of Homelessness

The issue of older women's risk of homelessness has been a priority area during my term as Age Discrimination Commissioner. This pressing issue is highlighted in the Australian Human Rights Commission’s 2019 report, Older Women’s Risk of Homelessness: Background Paper. Homelessness is not having a sense of security, stability, privacy, safety or the ability to control one’s living space.
